About Us

The Firm

For over 25 years, attorney Bradley A. Sacks has represented clients throughout New York City and State, particularly Ulster County, in all of the New York State and Federal Courts, as well as in several other states. Areas of expertise include personal injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and civil rights. Typical cases handled by our firm involve injuries or deaths caused by health care professionals, hospitals, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, job-related accidents, construction accidents, slips and falls, and injuries or deaths caused by the misconduct of the police or other public officials who abuse the power of their office. We focus on a select number of cases, which allows us to devote our full attention to the well-being of our clients and their families. As a result of the consistent and exceptional results Mr. Sacks has obtained for his own clients, he is frequently asked by other law firms and attorneys to act as trial counsel to handle the final preparation and trial of significant litigation.

As a litigation firm, we are acutely aware of the risks and costs associated with protracted litigation and constantly seek creative ways to resolve cases, as well as to help victims and their families obtain cash settlements for lost wages, medical expenses and pain and suffering.  In most instances, we are able to obtain favorable settlements outside of the courtroom, alleviating the level of that stress for our clients. There is a difference, however, between a law firm that settles cases because it is afraid or too inexperienced to go to trial and one that does so because resolution is in the best interests of the client. Through experience, we have learned that significant recoveries are achieved only after exhaustive investigation, exacting preparation, research of legal precedent and good old-fashioned hard work. Insurance companies and defense attorneys throughout New York are aware that cases handled by our firm are thoroughly prepared and have a good chance of going to trial. Accordingly, we generally get better results for our clients. Please review some of the specific results we have achieved under the listing "Our Successes" on the bar at the top of this page.

We pledge to give your case the personal attention it deserves. During business hours one of our team, and not a machine, answers the telephone in our offices. We personally return your calls promptly; we speak in plain language; and we report back to you regularly on your case. Communication is one of the most important aspects of your relationship with your attorney. Knowing where you stand, in a difficult time of your life, can be comforting and, from our point of view, also essential. At the Law Offices of Bradley A. Sacks, you are our first priority.
